GIPC基因家族与EP1受体基因PTGER1存在染色体连锁关系,GIPC1基因位于PTGER1基因上游,可能通过与PTGER1基因相互作用,调节其表达和功能。GIPC家族蛋白具有PDZ结构域和GIPC同源域,PDZ结构域能够与多种蛋白质相互作用,如WNT受体、IGF1受体、TrkA受体等,而GIPC同源域则与GIPC蛋白的功能相关[3]。

胆汁外泌体中的miR-182/183-5p能够通过靶向HPGD基因,增加PGE2生成,从而激活PTGER1,促进CCA细胞增殖、侵袭和上皮-间质转化(EMT),增加CCA干细胞特性[4]。在高血压大鼠模型中,母体蛋白质限制会导致子代肾脏Ptger1基因DNA高甲基化,并增加Ptger1表达,从而引起盐敏感性[5]。此外,EBV阴性胃癌中,PTGER1基因表达上调,可能与肿瘤免疫微环境相关,并影响抗PD-1治疗的效果[6]。在非小细胞肺癌患者中,PTGER1基因表达下调与免疫治疗耐药性相关[7]。在黑色素瘤患者中,ICB治疗引起的炎症组织中,PTGER1基因表达上调,可能与免疫抑制相关[8]。此外,PTGER1基因在人类输尿管中高表达,可能参与输尿管梗阻的发生[9]。
