PTPRB的突变还与血管肉瘤的发生相关。研究发现,PTPRB和PLCG1基因的突变在血管肉瘤中频繁发生,提示这两个基因可能作为血管肉瘤的治疗靶点[7]。

PTPRB的变异还与格雷夫斯病(GD)的易感性相关。研究发现,PTPRB基因的某些变异与GD的发生相关[8]。
