KRT5的表达与胰腺导管腺癌(PDAC)的亚型密切相关。研究发现,KRT5、KRT17和S100A2的联合表达可以独立预测PDAC患者的生存时间,并可能识别PDAC的基底亚型[6]。此外,KRT5的突变通过Notch信号通路调节黑色素细胞中的黑色素代谢,为皮肤色素异常的治疗提供了潜在的治疗靶点[7]。在前列腺癌中,KRT5被认为是潜在的靶点,其高表达与不良预后相关[8]。
