除了在肿瘤中的作用,Klk5还与一些其他疾病的发生和发展相关。例如,在前列腺癌中,Klk5的表达水平较正常组织显著降低,提示Klk5可能成为前列腺癌预后的潜在新指标[4]。在代谢性三阴性乳腺癌中,Klk5的表达水平在非代谢性肿瘤中升高,而在代谢性肿瘤中降低,提示Klk5可能参与代谢性三阴性乳腺癌的发生机制[5]。
