CMKLR1的基因表达和功能调控机制尚不完全清楚。研究表明,CMKLR1的启动子区域缺乏经典的TATA和CCAAT盒,但含有多个GC富集区域以及AP-4元件、C/EBP基序和GATA-1和GATA-2结合位点。启动子功能分析表明,一个280bp的序列对于启动转录是必需的,并且在该区域内可以识别四个潜在的Sp1结合位点,这些位点可能在基因转录中起作用。
