除了与癌症的发生和发展相关,Rbm17还与免疫治疗的效果相关。研究发现,Rbm17的表达水平与免疫检查点抑制剂(ICI)单药治疗在非小细胞肺癌(NSCLC)中的疗效相关。在PD-L1表达水平低的NSCLC患者中,Rbm17的表达水平与ICI单药治疗的客观缓解率(ORR)和进展无病生存期(PFS)相关,而与化疗联合免疫治疗的ORR相关[4]。此外,Rbm17的表达水平还与膀胱癌免疫治疗的疗效相关,Rbm17高表达的膀胱癌细胞对免疫检查点抑制剂(CPI)的响应更好[7]。

除了与癌症的发生、发展和免疫治疗相关,Rbm17还与神经退行性疾病相关。研究发现,Rbm17的缺失会导致小鼠的早期胚胎死亡,并且在Purkinje神经元中缺失Rbm17会导致神经元快速退化[8]。此外,Rbm17的缺失还会导致大量的隐蔽剪接事件,这些事件可能影响神经协调和细胞存活相关基因的表达。
