此外,STAM2还在免疫系统中发挥作用。研究发现,STAM2可以负调节MyD88介导的NF-κB信号通路,并通过靶向MyD88自噬途径来抑制NF-κB信号通路的激活[6]。

STAM2还在动物的生长性能中发挥作用。研究发现,STAM2基因的启动子区域的单核苷酸多态性(SNPs)与牛的生长性能相关。例如,G-102A位点的SNP与牛的肩高、管围、胸宽和臀高显著相关,这表明STAM2基因可以作为牛生长性能的标记辅助选择[7]。
