在皮肤细胞分化过程中,PPTC7也发挥重要作用。研究显示,PPTC7与DUSP6、PTPN1、PTPN13和PPP3CA等磷酸酶形成动态网络,共同调节皮肤细胞分化的时间和空间动态。这些磷酸酶通过负调节ERK MAPK信号通路和正调节AP1转录因子,促进细胞分化的发生。PPTC7的表达在体内和体外均受到空间调节,表明其在维持表皮稳态中发挥重要作用[5]。

PPTC7还与细胞对环境毒物的抗性有关。研究发现,PPTC7基因的缺失使细胞能够耐受有机磷农药氯吡啶磷(CPF)的毒性作用。这表明PPTC7可能参与细胞对环境毒物的解毒和耐受机制[6]。
