BTBD2基因的多态性也被发现与胶质母细胞瘤(GBM)的生存率相关。在590名原发性GBM患者中,研究发现LIG4 rs7325927和BTBD2 rs11670188与短期生存相关,而CCDC26 rs10464870和rs891835、HMGA2 rs1563834和RTEL1 rs2297440与长期生存相关。这些结果表明,BTBD2基因在GBM的生存率中起着重要作用[4]。

此外,BTBD2基因还与其他多种癌症的预后相关。研究发现,SLK、API5、BTBD2、PTAR1、VPS37A、EIF2B1和ZRANB1等基因与多种癌症的预后相关。特别是,SLK与细胞粘附相关,并且在多种癌症中具有高错义突变率。这些研究结果为癌症的预后和治疗提供了新的思路和策略[5]。
