在肿瘤发生中,CatSperβ也发挥着重要作用。研究发现,TC2N基因在多种癌症中发挥着致癌基因和抑癌基因的双重作用。TC2N的转录与TC2N mRNA表达和其他癌症基因之间存在正相关。TC2N的突变与多种癌症的发生和预后相关。此外,CatSperβ与TC2N的相互作用在肿瘤发生中具有重要作用[3,4]。

在心脏传导缺陷中,CatSperβ也发挥作用。研究发现,CatSperβ基因的突变与家族性心脏传导缺陷有关。这些发现为理解CatSperβ在心脏传导中的作用提供了新的线索[2]。

此外,CatSperβ在皮肤疾病中也发挥着重要作用。研究发现,CatSperβ基因在女性皮肤疾病中特异性上调,与雄激素相关基因的表达有关[5]。
