日本的一项研究发现,在190名日本眼皮肤白化病患者/家庭中,OCA4是最常见的亚型(25.3%),其次是OCA1(20.0%)、HPS1(14.7%)和OCA2(8.4%)。此外,HPS6也是日本患者中罕见的OCA亚型之一[4]。美国的一项研究发现,一个患有严重出血和隐蔽性眼皮肤白化病的成年女性患者,其HPS6基因存在一个新的纯合错义突变(c.383T>C;p.V128A)。这个突变导致HPS6 mRNA和蛋白质表达显著降低,提示HPS的疾病严重程度可能与HPS6基因的突变类型相关[5]。英国的一项研究发现,三个患有HPS6的患者在婴幼儿时期就出现了眼球震颤和视力减退,但在26岁时才确诊为HPS。这些患者的HPS6基因存在双等位基因截断突变,提示HPS的确诊可能因疾病表型的轻微而被延迟[6]。此外,美国的一项研究发现,HPS6基因缺失的小鼠在血管损伤后,血小板沉积和纤维蛋白生成显著减少,血小板和内皮细胞释放的蛋白质二硫键异构酶(PDI)显著降低。这些结果表明,HPS6基因的缺失会导致血小板和内皮细胞释放的PDI减少,进而影响血栓形成,导致出血表型[7]。
