MGI:104993Homozygous mutants are hyperphagic, low-activity, poorly cold-adapted, sterile and have enhanced fat conversion. They are obese, hyperinsulinemic and, on certain strains, severely hyperglycemic. Heterozygotes are normal but resistant to prolonged fasting.
