先天性肌强直的基因型和表型特征可能因地理区域和种族而异。例如,在一项对20例土耳其先天性肌强直患者的研究中,发现了新的剪接位点突变(c.1064+1G > A),这扩大了CLCN1基因突变的范围。此外,女性患者和汤姆森型肌强直在土耳其患者中更为常见。
