在肥胖症中,TRIM56通过促进白色脂肪组织的棕色化,降低肥胖症的发生[8]。TRIM56通过促进TLE3蛋白的K48连接泛素化,促进其降解,进而激活棕色脂肪细胞的生成和能量消耗。

在肺腺癌中,TRIM56表达下调,并与疾病的侵袭和迁移相关[9]。TRIM56通过促进FOXM1蛋白的稳定性,增强FOXM1介导的DNA损伤修复,降低肺腺癌的放射敏感性[10]。
