CRHBP的表达下调可能与自噬过程相关。研究发现,在肝细胞癌中,自噬介导的SQSTM1/p62途径导致CRHBP降解,从而降低CRHBP的表达[4]。此外,CRHBP还可以通过减少细胞周期蛋白B2的表达和分离细胞周期蛋白B2-CDK1复合物,从而抑制肿瘤细胞的增殖和转移[4]。
